This tour visits Matsumoto’s leading woodworking workshop, Maeda Atelier (m4 atelier), and allows you to experience the harmony between nature and craftsmanship. Established over 120 years ago, this prestigious woodworking studio has been passed down through three generations. They also handle furniture, art, and architecture, and have exhibited at the global design event “3daysofdesign.”

On the tour, you will walk through the forest with the craftsmen, experience the environment in which the trees grow, and then experience working with the wood in the workshop.It is a special day where you can experience the beauty of the relationship between forests and people, based on the Maeda father and son’s philosophy that “trees are alive.”
