Rediscovering True Enrichment : Tradition Meets Innovation

In Nagawa, a SATOYAMA village in the foothills of Matsumoto, people have long lived in quiet harmony with nature. Here, the wisdom of food and the philosophy of coexistence have been refined through generations.

Guided by locals who carry this legacy, you’ll experience the authentic rhythm of SATOYAMA life — walking through forests, learning ancient food wisdom, and sharing meals crafted from mountain blessings such as beans and chestnuts.

Each moment reveals how timeless traditions meet contemporary sensibilities,

creating a refined expression of Japanese harmony and mindful luxury.

A journey where the essence of tradition evolves into new beauty.

    Experience

In two inspiring days, travelers trace a path from the art of sustainable living in Shinshu–Matsumoto to the timeless satoyama culture of Nagawa — culminating in a dining experience where mountain blessings are reimagined for the modern palate.

The highlight of this journey is a farm-to-table cuisine experience set among the satoyama fields.

Enjoy a creative harmony between local dishes prepared with traditional “preserved foods” made by the women of the community and refined contemporary interpretations of the same ingredients.
